21st Century Gothic

  A Madness of Angles has successfully created the 21st century Gothic aesthetic because it uses all the common themes of a classic Gothic story while making it appeal to the readers in a way they understand. The previous stories we have read are written in a way that makes the reader have to read it several times to understand what is going on and then go into further detail about it. A Madness of Angels is more easy to follow along and has a better understanding of what is going on. More stories in the 21st century are surrounded by the supernatural because it is what readers will eat up. Readers love to read about vampires, werewolves, superheros etc.
