"I'm in love with places I've never been to and people I've never met."-John Green. I felt the need to put in that quote because it accurately describes how I feel about getting the opportunity to travel. As the day approaches for our departure, I find myself more anxious and excited to go. I have never been on a plane before, so this will be my first time. I've heard some people say they love flying and others say they hate it, so it will be interesting to know how I handle it. Three things I feel like people should know about me. One: I have always had a wild imagination and ever since I started looking at places we are going to go on Pinterest, I can imagine it, as if I've already been there, but I know I have not. Second: I am a big Harry Potter fan, so I really hope I get to go to the Harry Potter world in London. Third: I want to travel all over the world before I die.
Our departure date is slowly approaching and there is so much I've had to do to prepare, that I never considered. Since I've only been out of the country once when I was in second grade to the Bahamas, I had to start by getting a passport. When it finally arrived and I got to physically hold it, I got really excited because it finally dawned on me that this was actually going to happen. Because a part of me was waiting for the hidden camera and my parents say, "HA just kidding, you're not going to London. You're staying here." But they haven't. I also found out that I have to pack very lightly. I can't overpack like I'm used to doing and I have to wear the same pair of pants for at least 3 days before I can consider changing them. Which is going to be a challenge for me seeing as I go through 3 outfits a day. I don't have anything small for a carry on bag so I had to order that and a bunch of other things. All I can say at this point is, this is so going to be worth it.
